Negatone Privacy Policy

What Negatone stores

Negatone keeps a short list of your rolls (name, year, film type, number of frames, date of the last scan), a small thumbnail of the last frame of each roll, the frame counters and your settings. All of this is stored only on your device, in the app's shared container (an App Group) so the Home Screen widget can show your counter. It never leaves the device.

The scans themselves are saved to your Photos library, not inside Negatone. Negatone does not keep copies of your photos.

What goes over the network

Nothing. Negatone has no server, no user accounts and no cloud sync. All image processing (finding the frame, removing the orange mask, inverting) happens on the device.

• No analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no tracking.
• The only network traffic is made by Apple's StoreKit to show the price of Negatone Pro, process the purchase and restore it.

Purchases

Negatone Pro is a one-time in-app purchase ($2.99) handled entirely by Apple. There is no subscription. We receive no payment details and no personal information from the purchase. See Apple's privacy policy.

Permissions

• Camera — to photograph your negatives and slides. The live camera image is processed on the device and is not recorded or sent anywhere.
• Photos — to save finished scans into an album named after the roll and to set the photo date to the year you choose. If you pick a photo to import, Negatone reads only that photo. It does not scan or upload your library.

Negatone does not access your contacts, location, microphone, Health data or notifications.

Deleting your data

Open Settings inside Negatone and tap “Reset all data”, or delete the app. Either removes the roll list, thumbnails, counters and settings. Photos already saved to your library stay there until you delete them in the Photos app.

Children

Negatone is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
