iSimpleLoop Privacy Policy

In short: iSimpleLoop does not collect your data: projects, recordings and samples stay on your device, and the app makes no network connections.

Updated: 2026-10-04 · Developer: Artem Kolchin

In short

iSimpleLoop is a loop station that works entirely on your iPhone or iPad. There is no account, no server, no advertising and no analytics. The developer, Artem Kolchin, receives nothing about you or your music.

What iSimpleLoop stores on your device

  • Projects — the arrangement, tracks, notes and settings of each song, plus the recorded audio, in the app's Documents folder.
  • Your sound library — samples you record or import.
  • Settings — interface language, selected audio input, MIDI and pedal assignments.
  • A launch diagnostic marker — if the app ever freezes during startup, it remembers the stage locally and shows it in Settings so you can report it. It is not sent anywhere.

Because the Documents folder is shared with the Files app, you can see and copy your projects there. Like other app data, it can be included in your own iCloud or computer backup of the device, under your Apple account.

What is sent over the network

Nothing. iSimpleLoop contains no networking code, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and no third-party services. It works fully offline.

Importing and exporting

  • Import — when you pick an audio file through the system file picker, the app reads only that file and converts it into your project or library. It cannot browse your other files.
  • Export — WAV, M4A and MIDI files are created on the device and handed to the system Share menu. Where they go next (AirDrop, Files, Mail, another app) is your choice, and that service's own policy applies.

Permissions

  • Microphone — to record loops, samples and vocals. Audio is processed and saved only on the device. Without this permission the app still plays instruments, pads and imported audio.
  • Bluetooth — to connect wireless MIDI keyboards and foot controllers through the system Bluetooth MIDI screen. The app only receives MIDI notes and controls from devices you connect.
  • Background audio — so playback and recording continue when the screen locks or you switch apps.

The home screen widget only opens the app in quick sample-recording mode; it reads no data.

Purchases

iSimpleLoop is free. It has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.

Deleting your data

Delete a project from the project list, and a sound from the library with the DELETE button. Deleting the app removes all its projects, recordings, samples and settings from the device. Exported files you shared elsewhere are not affected. Since the developer holds no data about you, there is nothing to request from us.

Children

iSimpleLoop collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
