Chestno Privacy Policy

In short: Chestno does not collect your data: everything you create stays on your device, and the app has no accounts, analytics or ads.

Who we are

Chestno (“Честно: вопросы для разговоров”) is a deck of conversation question cards for iPhone and iPad, developed by Artem Kolchin. This policy explains what the app keeps and what it does not.

What Chestno stores on your device

The app keeps the following only in its local storage on your iPhone or iPad:

  • Your own sets: the set name, colour and the questions you write.
  • Progress: the card order in each set and where you stopped.
  • Settings: shuffle, haptics, party mode and the player names you enter for it, and the time of the daily question reminder.
  • Widget state: how many times you tapped “More” in the widget today, so it can show the next question.

This data is not sent to us. Like other app data, it may be included in your device’s regular iCloud or computer backup, which is handled by Apple under your own settings.

What goes over the network

Chestno itself makes no network requests. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking SDKs, and all questions are built into the app. The only online interaction is with the App Store when you buy or restore a purchase (see below).

Purchases

Five extra sets are unlocked by a one-time in-app purchase (“All sets”). Payment is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID; we never see your name, card or payment details. The app only asks the App Store whether the purchase exists on your Apple ID, so it can unlock the sets on any of your devices.

Notifications

If you turn on “Question of the day” in the menu, the app asks for permission to send notifications and schedules local reminders on the device, one per day with that day’s question. Nothing is sent through a server. You can turn the reminder off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.

Sharing cards

When you tap “Share”, the app draws a picture of the card on the device and opens the standard iOS share sheet. Where it goes is up to you; the receiving app or person handles it under their own rules. Nothing is shared automatically.

Deleting your data

  • Delete any of your own sets in its editor.
  • Reset progress in all sets from the menu.
  • Clear player names in the party mode settings.
  • Deleting the app removes all of its data from the device.

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing to delete on our side. Your purchase stays tied to your Apple ID and can be restored after reinstalling.

Children

Chestno does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Some sets (for example “Sex”) are intended for adults, and parents can use iOS Screen Time to limit access to the app.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top before that version is released.
