Firm Ground Privacy Policy
In short: Firm Ground does not collect your data. Your walk-throughs, photos and measurements never leave your iPhone or iPad.

What Firm Ground stores
Everything you enter — the homes you add, your answers to each check, measurements, photos of hazards, which fixes are done, the re-check date and your settings — is stored only on your device, in the app's own shared container (an App Group). The Home Screen widget reads a short summary from the same container (number of open fixes, critical items, re-check date). Nothing leaves the device.
What goes over the network
Firm Ground has no server, no user accounts and no cloud sync. We never see your data.
- No analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no tracking.
- Apple's StoreKit contacts Apple to show the price of Firm Ground Pro, process the purchase and restore it.
- If you tap a store link in the shopping list, your browser opens a product search on an online store (for example Amazon) for your country. From that moment the store's own privacy policy applies. Firm Ground may earn a small commission from such links; it does not send the store anything about you or your home except the product name you tapped.
- A PDF report you export goes only where you send it (Files, Mail, AirDrop, print).
Purchases
Firm Ground Pro is a one-time in-app purchase ($2.99) handled entirely by Apple. There is no subscription. We receive no payment details and no personal information. See Apple's privacy policy.
Permissions
All permissions are optional and asked for only when you use the feature.
- Camera — to photograph a hazard for the report and to measure distances with augmented reality (ARKit). Camera frames are processed on the device and are not recorded; only the photos you take are saved, inside the app.
- Photos — to pick an existing photo of a hazard. The app reads only the photo you choose.
- Notifications — for the yearly re-check reminder. Reminders are scheduled locally on the device.
Firm Ground does not access your contacts, location, microphone or Health data.
Deleting your data
In Firm Ground open Settings and tap “Erase all data”, delete a single home in Homes, or simply delete the app. Exported PDF files are under your control.
Children
Firm Ground is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
