In short: Trichrome does not collect your data.

What Trichrome stores
Your test results (test type, date, likely type and degree, score) and whether you have seen the introduction are stored only on your device, in the app's local storage (UserDefaults). They are not sent anywhere.
What goes over the network
Nothing. Trichrome has no server and no user accounts, and its tests work entirely offline, so we never see your results.
- No analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no tracking.
- The only network requests are made by Apple's StoreKit to show the price, process the purchase and restore it.
- Links in Settings (privacy policy, support, terms of use, rating the app) simply open in your browser or the App Store.
- After you finish a few tests, iOS may show Apple's standard rating prompt; it is handled by the system.
Purchases
Trichrome offers one non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks all tests, the report and the simulator forever. There is no subscription. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we receive no payment details and no personal information. The purchase can be shared through Family Sharing. Apple's handling of this data is described in Apple's privacy policy.
Camera and photos
Camera. The "See as" simulator can use the rear camera to show a live preview of the world through a colour vision deficiency filter. Frames are processed on the device in real time and immediately discarded: nothing is recorded, saved or sent. The camera is used only while you have "Camera" selected in "See as", and you can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings.
Photos. You can pick a photo with the system photo picker to see it through the filter. Trichrome only receives the photo you choose, processes it on the device and does not save or upload it. The app does not request access to your whole photo library.
Sharing. When you export the report, the system share sheet is used and you decide where the image goes. Trichrome does not send it anywhere by itself.
Trichrome does not access your contacts, location, microphone, Health data or notifications.
Deleting your data
To delete your results, open Settings in Trichrome and tap "Delete all results". Deleting the app also removes all its data from your device.
Health information
Trichrome is a screening tool and does not diagnose. Your results never leave your device unless you share the report yourself.
Children
Trichrome includes a shape test suitable for children, used with an adult. The app does not collect information from children — or from anyone else.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
